How to count the length of service for sick leave
The insurance period includes periods of work,when the employee is paid wages, with which the employer pays the insurance premiums. This type of service is determined for the purpose of temporary disability benefits.

To determine the length of insurance, take the dataabout the labor periods of the employee from his work book. In the absence of a record in the workbook, take into account written employment contracts that are drawn up in accordance with labor legislation, personal accounts, extracts from orders and payroll records. In the period of insurance, count the periods of military and other service.

From the remuneration that accrues to employeesunder contracts of a civil-law nature, contributions to the social insurance fund of the Russian Federation are not paid. Therefore, the periods of such work in the insurance period are not included.

Calculate the time of work in the calendarorder based on the provision that the full month is 30 days, and the full year is 12 months. Every 30 days, translate into a whole month, and every 12 months translate into a whole year. If only years are specified in the document on work periods without specifying exact dates, for the date, take July 1 of the corresponding year, and if the month number is not written, then take the 15th day of the corresponding month for the calculation.

If the work experience of an employee is 8 years or more -the benefit is paid in 100 percent of the average earnings. With seniority from 5 to 8 years inclusive, the payment is subject to a benefit of 80% of the average earnings. When the insurance period of the employee from half a year to 5 years is paid a benefit of 60% of the average earnings. If the employee's experience is less than six months - then, the calculation of benefits is based on the minimum wage (the minimum wage) for a full calendar month.
