Lemon Liqueur Lemoncello



The recipe for the preparation of the popular Italian liquor "Limoncello" at home. Make it yourself is not difficult, but it will take patience - he insists 2.5 months.

You will need




  • For 2 liters of drink:
  • - lemons - 12 pieces;
  • - alcohol (ethyl) - 1 l;
  • - sugar - 600 g;
  • - soda - 1 tbsp. a spoon;
  • - water (drinking non-carbonated) - 1 liter.

Initially, wash the lemons and place them in the basin. Pour water with the addition of a tablespoon of soda and leave in the solution overnight.

The next day, take out the lemons and take offthem yellow crust (zest). Place the zest in a sealed container and fill it with alcohol. Leave to infuse for 20 days. Then filter the alcohol, the peel can be discarded.

Cook the syrup. Dissolve sugar in 1 liter of water and boil it for at least 10 minutes. Cool and pour the syrup into the lemon spirit. The drink should turn bright yellow. Close the liqueur tightly and leave it for another month.

Then filter the drink through gauze and pour into the bottle. Leave to infuse for another month.
