You will need




  • - 500 ml of alcohol;
  • - 3 glasses of filtered water;
  • - 500 g of granulated sugar;
  • - a pack of vanillin;
  • - 7 lemons;
  • - 3 limes.

With lemons and limes, peel the zest. The zedra must be cleaned without the white part, otherwise the drink will be bitter. Peel the peeled zest and pour it with alcohol. Put a packet of vanillin in there. Put the jar in a dark cold place for 2 weeks. Shake the container daily.

After two weeks, continue to prepare the liqueur. Pour 3 glasses of filtered water into the pan. Pour 500 g of granulated sugar there and stir constantly until a thick syrup is obtained. Remove it from heat and cool.

Strain the alcohol on the zest. Now pour it into syrup and stir well.

Limoncello served chilled. In Sicily, they use special glasses for this, which they freeze to have a thin layer of ice on them. You can serve simply with ice.
