How to make a contour in Photoshop
In the graphic editor Adobe Photoshop, you can process not only the image, but also its fragments. To select and save individual parts, it is convenient to apply contours.
Instructions

Select any selection tool. For strokes of complex shapes with smooth lines, it is better to use the Lasso Tool and the Magnetic Lasso Tool. To select elements consisting of straight lines, it is more convenient to use the Polygonal Lasso Tool ("Polygonal Lasso").

To not spoil the main imageunsuccessful changes, after selecting a fragment, copy it to a new layer Ctrl + J. Hold down Ctrl and click on the icon of this layer. A selection will appear again around the fragment.

On the toolbar, select any of the L groupsor M and right-click inside the selection. In the drop-down menu, select the Make Work Pass command. In a new window, set the Tolerance value. The lower the value, the more accurate the contour will be to the boundaries of the image.

Now you can adjust the working contour. On the toolbar, select the Direct Selection Tool and right-click on the path where you want to change its shape. Check the Add Anchor Point command. Pick up the point with the left mouse button and drag it, changing the shape of the outline. Press Esc when the result suits you

Select the Brush Tool andIn the properties panel, set the parameters - color and width. Again, tick Add Anchor Point, right-click the context menu and select the Stroke Pass command.

In a new window in the Tool line,Expand the list and select Brush. The stroke will be the same width and color as you chose for the brush. If you want the stroke width to change, check the Pressure check box. Again, call the context menu with a right-click and select the Delete Pass command.
