Where to install gadgets
Windows gadgets allow you to activate variouspanel to access certain functions and programs of the system. Some gadgets allow you to monitor the status of the computer and the system as a whole, to look at the temperature of the equipment. Applets are a good and functional tool for decorating the desktop.

Gadgets in Windows Operating Systemsare saved in the Gadgets directory. You can find it by clicking on the "Start" menu and selecting the "Computer" section. After that, click on "Local disk C:". In the list of folders that appears, select Program files - Windows Sidebar. In this directory you will find the catalog you need.

In Windows, downloadable gadget files usually haveextension .gadget. To install a new item for the desktop, download the desired file from the Internet, and then double click on it with the left mouse button.

In the dialog that appears, click the button"Install" and wait for the message about the successful installation of the extension. After that, the gadget will appear on the desktop. Clicking the left mouse button on the appeared element you can make the necessary settings for working with the received applet.

Manage installed items you can,clicking the right mouse button on the free area of the desktop and selecting the "Gadgets" section. Then you will see a window where all the applets on your computer will be listed. To activate any of them, drag the selected gadget to the desktop with the left mouse button.

To delete an item from the list, in thein the "Gadgets" window, right-click on it, then click on the "Delete" button in the context menu. This action will erase the selected applet from the system.

To install the gadget, you can also moveDownloaded file to the Gadget directory. The extensions copied there are automatically added to the list and can be used on the system. If you delete a file from this directory, you also delete it from the list of applets.
