Launch the application and open the video file, in thewhich you want to add new subtitles. To do this, use the appropriate menu item "File" - "Open" (File - Open). Then open the file with the text using the item "Add subtitles". In VirtualDub Mod, this menu is located in the Video - Filters - TextSub or Subtitler section. It is worth noting that in the line of the Video of the top bar of the program the setting of Full processing mode should be selected.

You can insert external subtitles whenhelp of any player. To do this, just drag the file of titles into the window with the video being played. You can use the menu item "Subtitles" - "Add" and specify the location for the file. When creating subtitles, you can use the simple and easy program Subtitle Workshop. Download the distribution kit of the utility and perform the installation, following the installer's instructions.

Open the application. Create new subtitles using the menu "File" - "New subtitles". Open the video file in which you want to embed the text.

While the movie is playing, waitthe appearance of the frame into which you want to insert the first subtitles. Stop playback and use the "Forward" and "Back" buttons to adjust the desired frame. Each press of the button moves the slider exactly half a second.

Press the "Start time" button. This will set the time when the first subtitle should appear. In the "Text" field, enter the desired translation or comment. Click the left mouse button on the image to continue playback.

Stop playback on the frame where the subtitle will change or disappear. Press the "End Time" button.

Insert the next line for subtitles using the menu "Edit" - "Insert subtitle". You can use the Insert button on the keyboard.

Repeat all the operations to insert the remaining subtitles.

At the end of the insertion, you can save your created subtitles as a separate file in the .srt format. If you want to immediately cut a file into a video, then save it as "SubStation Alpha".

Download the Virtual Dub program and connect the Subtitler plugin. Put the downloaded extension file in the plugins folder of the program.

Open the desired video in Virtual Dub and go to the menu "Video" - "Filters" - "Add" - "Subtitler". Click OK.

In the pop-up window, select the saved subtitle file. The "Video" menu should be set to "Full processing mode".

Save the created file using the "File" - "Save as" menu. At the output you will get a video with your embedded subtitles.
