Veterans of military operations have privileges to receive housing and to pay for housing and communal services. They have the right to free of charge to study and be treated, to take an active part in public life.
The state has envisaged a number of measuressocial support for war veterans. Persons who have this status and the benefits that are entitled to them are defined in the Law on Veterans No. 5-FZ of January 12, 1995.
