Tip 1: How to apply to the UN
In order to write an application to the OrganizationUnited Nations, you can use a special form on the official UN website, send a letter by mail or write from your e-mail box.

Visit the official website of the OrganizationUnited Nations to address the Secretary-General in a specially created form. Select the language on the Welcome page. Click on the inscription "Welcome", because in any case from the Russian-language page for writing the text of the message will have to switch to English. Scroll down the page, in the horizontal menu on the bottom find the button Contact us, click on it.

Fill out the application form to the Secretary-General UN in the opened page. Choose the theme of your message from two options: Questions on the United Nations Website UN) or General Questions and Comments (general questions and comments).

Leave your email address in a separate window, this box will receive a response from the Secretary of the United Nations to your question. Write the subject of your message in the Subject window.

Write an appeal to the United Nations. You can use both Russian and English. Click the Send button below the text field for the message.

Write a letter on paper. Provide contact information in the body of the message so that United Nations staff can send you a response to your home address.

Council 2: How to join the UN
UN (United Nations) - allianceStates that have undertaken to develop international cooperation and resolve disputes peacefully. In 1920, with a similar goal, the countries united in the League of Nations. Formally, this association existed until 1946, but actually lost its meaning after the outbreak of World War II.

The main document that defines the activity UN, is its Statute. It sets out the obligations of the member countries of the organization. If the new state wishes to join the union, it thereby accepts these obligations. In turn, the organization decides collegially whether an applicant is able to fulfill the Charter.

Head of the Secretariat and leader UN is the Secretary-General elected for 5years by voting. It is to him that the applicant state sends a statement of acceptance and a letter in which it officially declares its readiness to accept the obligations set forth in the Charter.

This statement is considered by the Security Council UN. The Security Council is the main body responsible for maintaining peace. He introduces international sanctions against countries-violators, decides to conduct military operations and the participation of troops UN in armed conflicts.

The Security Council consists of five permanent members (the Russian Federation, the United States,Great Britain, France and China) and 10 temporary, elected for 2 years. The application for admission must be approved by 3/5 of the number of the Council. An obligatory condition is the consent of all the permanent members of the Security Council.

If the Council takes a positive decision, it is submitted to the General Assembly for discussion. GA UN - its main representative, consultative and decision-making body. For the reception of the applicant, 2/3 participants in the Assembly must vote. The country is considered a member UN after the adoption of the resolution on admission.

If the Security Council deems it necessary to take compulsory or preventive measures against a state, it may request the General Assembly to temporarily deprive the offender of the rights and privileges of the participant UN. The Security Council also has the right to restore these rights. A state that systematically violates the organization's Charter may be excluded from UN on the recommendation of the Security Council by its General Assembly.
