In 2008 the channel was awarded an honorary diploma of the Embassy of India in Russia - for the popularization of Indian culture. The diploma was received by the editor-in-chief of the television channel V. Shevardenidze personally from the hands of the Indian ambassador, Mr. Prabhat Prokash Shukla.

The television channel was created in 1992 by a businessman SubshahChandra. At the time of launch, this was the first private channel in Hindi. For the Russian broadcast programs are duplicated at four specialized studios in Mumbai.
