The publicistic "Who's Who"analogue of the famous channel The Biography Channel. Here you can see films and stories from the life of celebrities, socially important heroes. Before the show on the air all the material is approved on the official website. The slogan of the channel sounds like this: "Know what you need to know."
The basis of broadcasting is documentaries,narrating about the biography of outstanding people of past and present, about famous actors, writers, politicians, artists, about all whose life and affairs are of interest to users. The channel can be found in the networks of cable operators in the Baltic States, CIS countries and Russia, in the basic expanded package "NTV Plus".
"Who is who" was founded in the summer of 2007TV producer Vladimir Ananich, the first broadcast was on November 13. Editor-in-chief on the channel is working since 2009 Irina Mishina, a former well-known TV presenter. Documentary films are shot:
- Varvara Urizchenko;
- Lilia Vyugina;
- Vladimir Glazunov.
The programs are popular: "Tail of a comet" - tells about Russians who for one reason or another found themselves outside the homeland; "It was recently, it was a long time ago" - a cycle of historical broadcasts, led by Edvard Radzinsky; "My Truth" is a program about Russian celebrities, including documentaries, historical photos, interviews with eyewitnesses of events and close personalities.
Today, "Who's Who" can watch the movie "Mozart - Superstar". The creators of the picture presented the legendary composer in the image of the first superstar in the history of popular classical music.
Documentary films about people-legends are createdbased on exclusive materials and documents. For professionalism, the channel was awarded a high award - a special prize of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation "For the creation of a portrait gallery of figures of Russian journalism".
