Instructions

1

A smear on the flora is taken not only in women, but also inmen. The latter give it in almost all cases of treatment to the urologist. Women should take a smear on the flora every three months, during a preventive examination with a gynecologist. During the treatment, a smear is taken after the completion of the course of therapy in order to confirm its success.

2

Bacterioscopy is a painless procedure. The swab is transferred to the flora by a gynecologist or urologist with a disposable spatula. The doctor makes a fence in several places: in men from three points of the urethra, and in women - from the vagina and cervix. The results of the analysis, as a rule, are ready the next day. Some private laboratories analyze the smear in 30 minutes.

3

To deliver the smear to the flora should be prepared. One to two days before the alleged delivery of the analysis, it is better to refrain from having sexual intercourse. Before going to the doctor, it is recommended not to go to the toilet for 2-3 hours. Women should not use vaginal drugs, in particular a variety of candles and creams. Also, do not dabble in the morning and do douching, otherwise the results of the analysis will be unreliable. You can give a smear to the flora on any day of the menstrual cycle. However, it is advisable to do this immediately after the menstrual cycle, that is, on the 4th-5th day of the cycle.

In the study of biomaterial, the laboratory technician appliesit on the glass, and then stains with special dyes. They will make it possible to distinguish bacteria more clearly under a microscope. The study makes it possible to evaluate the microflora, that is, the presence of pathogenic bacteria and their number.

5

A smear on the flora shows the number of leukocytes, erythrocytes, the presence of fungus, gonococci, trichomonads, lactobacilli. Normally, the rod material (lactobacilli), as well as leukocytes, should be determined in the biomaterial, but in a single quantity. Leukocytes are protective cells, they attack the causative agents of infection. Their large number in the smear indicates inflammation of the vagina in women (vaginitis, colpitis) and prostatitis in men. The number of leukocytes increases in proportion to the severity of inflammation and the number of pathogens.

6

The presence of cocco flora in the smear indicatesvenereal disease. So, Trichomonas testify to trichomoniasis, gonococci - about gonorrhea, and candida - about thrush. Also, the smear can be epithelium. His presence is the norm. Under the epithelium is meant the cells covering the cervix and the vagina.

7

Assessing the smear on the flora, four groups of purity are distinguished. The first degree of purity indicates the healthy reproductive system.
