The festival lasts three days, during which the inhabitants of the country at the light of the moon eat sweet patties made of crushed lotus and sesame seeds, and various fillings: sweet jellies, dates, nuts or pasta from red beans. The atmosphere reigns very poetic: in the moonlight the candle lights gleamed, the fragrant cassia blooms, people read poems and sing songs, and also arrange dances in costumes depicting dragons. Lovers pray to the gods for a happy marriage, and parents together with children launch lanterns into the night sky.
